Can't we drop the Iran thread.  From what I understand, the new administration is a
blend of nationalism, a slightly moderated religious fanaticism, some populism, and
a weakness because the president's power is very limited.  Do any of us really know
how power works there?

Couldnt' Ahmadinejad be an improvement without being a hero?

Just think about how people from outside the US frequently see Kennedy or Clinton as
bright shining knights.
