Although
just reading the first page of Laclau and Mouffe's book did it for me.
Sucha buncha pretentious claptrap. Any conceptual system is
"essentialist" in that it privileges the cognitive over all other
dimensions. So any 'critique of essentialism' is hoist on its own
petard. L&M tried to disguise their own incarceration in the prison
house of language by the use of syntax and vocabulary that was 12 times
more difficult than what they were actually saying.
