Hi Louis. One additional point you might want to make is that these
false critiques of greens mask some real critiques that are worth
making. The critical importance of environmental issues (and they are
critical) often leads greens to think of themselves as "beyond left
and right". Two random examples; many greens will go beyond favoring
green taxes to favoring substituing them for income taxes. There what
I would call the cult of sweet reason, where people like Amory Lovins
devote huge amounts of effort towards trying to convince capitalists
that environmental sanity is in their personal interests. Obviously
I'm referring to only one portion of the green movement, but I think a
significant one. I could go on, to provide more examples and then try
to draw a thesis from them. But what the hell, you are good at this
sort of thing, and I might be able to con you into doing it for me.
