Re: China question again



I've seen of lots of arguments on both sides of the issue, but haven't
sorted through them enough to credibly weigh in. But if China does indeed
possess the capacity to efficiently produce higher value-added consumer
goods, wouldn't going in this direction orient its manufacturing base all
the more toward the external market -- precisely at odds with what the 4th
generation leaders of the
CCP claim their "harmonious and sustainable society" policy is all about?

excellent answers. So here is the NY Times saying that China will be
moving up the value chain to compete with the more advanced economies.
How feasable will that be?
