What do you expect from a kakistocracy that considers flipping

...or for that matter considers the military to be a 'job', and if some
Chicano or poor white eats it in the line of service, well, they knew
the hazards going in... I hear alot of that indirectly (and directly) on
dKoz.
The comment thread which started with my diary entry today is
particularly humorous:
It's Hard to Build A Coalition When You Alienate Potential Allies

Yesterday, in regard to my diary entry 'Conservative backlash against
students protesting military recruiters on campus', Ivan commented:
I'm glad it makes you feel good
Because what those students did was bullshit. The recruiters have a
legal right to be there, and all the pacifist righteousness in the world
will not change that. All this does is feed into the fright wing and
help them mobilize their base.
I replied to the insinuated suggestion that the military recruiter's
First Amendment rights were somehow violated by the students demand that
the recruiters leave the campus. I want to expound a little more on the
topic of 'coalition building', and also post Travus T. Hipp's Daily
Audio News & Commentary .
All that, below the fold....

But, golf courses... right. A few years back I read that golf pros at
the courses along with the groundskeepers have a higher than average
rate of certain types of lymphomas and other cancerous growths.
