ASSA/URPE panel on environmental issues
A number of us (Michael Perelman, Paul Burkett, Ann Davis) are
organizing a proposed panel for ASSA in Chicago, January, 2007, on
environmental economics.
The themes include various approaches to environmental issues within
Marxism, mainstream, and institutional economics. Papers are welcome
applying or critiquing Marxism, mainstream, and institutional
approaches. Papers analyzing collective management models and
experiences regarding natural resources, in the U.S. or other
countries, are also welcome. The role of property rights in
protecting or commoditizing natural resources is also an issue of
interest. We are also interested in discussants and a chair.
Please send abstracts and/or your interest in discussing or chairing to
davisa@xxxxxxxxxx
asap, certainly by April 23.
Thanks very much.
