Re: Amartya Sen: democracy is not "Western"

This article is terrific.  For those of you who are not economists, the beginning
section about why Korea has developed relative to Ghana trashes an explanation which
is almost as common among economists as supply and demand.

I did have one question about the article.  I thought the Japanese imperialists put a
fairly good educational system in place in Korea.
