Greetings!  Why should the test be the G7 type of economy in the first
place?  If China did the G7 probably wouldn't exist.

The HDI measures certain things.  Romania still holds up well because of
legacies.  China is moving up on HDI.  I don't have the numbers with me.
But I bet the HDI numbers in the 1990s for China are worse.

Talking about Romania, my Indian friend in the US recently hired Romanian
IT workers rather than Indians because the latter were more expensive than the
Romanians.
