Robertson is right.  Chavez was a baseball player.  Supposedly Castro got a tryout with the Washington Senators also.

have come to doubt veracity of castro tryout given that story told is either about 'senators' or 'yankees' both of which are bit too juicy given political stuff...   michael hoover
