Why do Senators run for the presidency? In the 20th C., only Harding &
Kennedy moved directly from the senate to the presidency? Some became
vp's and then president -- Nixon, Johnson, but the direct route seems
improbable.
There must be 10 senators today that seem to be exploring the race.
