I also don't know why someone would try to exchange a 6-year job with
all sorts of prestige (and much more power that that of a US
Representative) but without very much responsibility for an uncertain
chance of getting a job with a tremendous amount of responsibility.
(It's true that W doesn't do much work, but he does get the blame.)
