I attended the Hitchens appearance yesterday in LA. Mickey Kaus subbed for Matthew Miller as the interviewer. Kaus' final question was whether there was anything Left about Hitchens at this point. Hitchens responded no, and then added that he supposed that he misses the Left portion of his life like he would miss a gangreous limb that had been amputated.
Hitchens latest book is about Thomas Jefferson. It is apparent that Hitchens likes Jefferson because Jefferson was a secularist who kicked Islamo-terrorist ass (the Barbary pirates).
