Re: Lists of PhD programs

Graduate School of Geography at Clark University in Worcester, MA is perhaps the best PhD program combining those interests. We have some quality Marxists (Richard Peet & Jody Emel) and strong envrionmental lefties (Diane Rocheleau), not to mention many Lefties and radicals in the International Development , Community and Environment program.

I am a grad student in the geography program and can tell you more off list if you'd like.

I am compiling a list for someone not on the list and would appreciate
receiving off-list either a pointer to or some recommendations for heterodox
PhD programs in the USA that combine political economy, environmental
studies, and perhaps some game theory (recognizing the ideological and
methodological problems of trying to cross-list that interest). I've looked
at the UMKC list and wonder if there's faculty in places like public policy,
ag/resource econ or geography that don't have enough critical(sic) mass at
their university in their econ departments, but perhaps have senior faculty
housed in other departments that would support a graduate student
application with a combination of those interests.

Thanks

Ann Li
