I'm not so sure. I once had a long argument with an old Italian
gentleman who said that the trains didn't run on time under Mussolini.
Further, I found some distribution data that indicated that the rate of
surplus-value rose drastically under Hitler in the 1930s. Finally, is it
simply jobs we care about?
