only about 1/3 of the colonists were actively opposed to the Brits, while 1/3 supported the Brits, and about 1/3 were "neutral." Not only does this respond to pro-occupation people who point to the opposition to the US occupation as only a "minority" but it encourages us to remember that a lot of people in Iraq (maybe 1/3? who know?) support the US.
