You're on Tom! The gauntlet is thrown.

The Work Less Party is a registered political party in British Columbia and will be running possible 10 candidates in the coming election in May 2005. I'll be running against the provincial premier, "driving and drinking" Gord Campbell. For those not fortunate enough to live in BC (I feel your pain), you can contribute to the party and spread the message of working less by buying our t-shirts, calendar and buttons. Also there's the Work Less Institute of Technology.

As for melding our forces, you've given me a great
idea. Since I'm running against a convicted impaired
driver named Gordon, it would be fun to write a new
set of lyrics for the old underground railroad song,
"Follow the drinking gourd." Particularly relevant
both to our campaign against wage slavery and to the
post US election angst that has a lot of
progressive-thinking people looking north. I bet that
song would sound great on a ukelele and if you (or for
that matter anyone on Pen-l) have any suggestions for
verses, send them along!
