I have found that many a dull Christmas dinner can be enlivened by the
bitter arguments that arise from my suggesting that it would be a good
policy idea to campaign on the basis that the minimum wage should be set at
a level which would allow a male wage-earner to support a non-working wife
and family.  It's got something to annoy everyone.
