CB: As General Secretary of the CPSU, Gorbachev's speeches on Universal
Human Values were based on fundamentally materialist political concepts, in
that, nuclear weapons pose the greatest threat to humanity's material
existence.

In this regard, objectively, taking a step back from the eleventh hour of
nuclear confrontation, even in surrender in the "Cold" War, was Marxist.
Soviet surrender of its Socialist label and Berlin walls as a demand of
imperialism for peace in the Cold War, was an action placing the human
species before the CPSU and bourgeois-defying tradition of the SU
revolution...for now.
