Re: The Chechens US friends: bipartisanship

The American Committee for Peace in Chechnya is
"chaired by former
National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, former
Secretary of
State Alexander M. Haig, Jr. and former Congressman
Stephen J.
Solarz" (at
<http://www.peaceinchechnya.org/about.htm>) -- two
Democrats and one Republican.

And, if anything, the American Committee for Peace in
Chechnya used
to take a harder line against Russia, and its
post-9/11 stance on the
Chechen question has been less critical of Russia than
before.

I conclude that Laughland doesn't know what he is
talking about.

It's hard to imagine somebody more anti-Russian than
Zbigniew "14 million Russians would be too many"
Brzezinski. (Or was it Thatcher who said that? I can't
remember.)
