Me, too.
I saw him up close.
Aside from that, there is nothing to refute my statement about him being
a "hyper-liberal" in your story. Many liberals care about First Nation
issues in Canada. No big deal. (Unless they are all true Marxists, to
which they might object.)
I have been inside of all kinds of places, for a variety of political
and work purposes. That fact doesn't make me anything special -- as Lou
will readily tell you.

Please direct me to what you have written on Indigenous issues and what
concrete experiences (where and when) you have had with Indigenous
struggles in the Americas or anywhere else. Genocide is going on right
now, this minute, right under your nose. What concretely have you
written about it and what concretely have you done about it?
