That's because the suicide of one guy in China (out of
a population of over a billion) was an opportunity to
take a dig at the hated Chinese government (note that
all governments are hated unless they are in Latin
America. Russia is especially hated because it decided
to ditch Trotsky, twice.). It has nothing to do with
concern for the kid. Now, if the Russian government
had been responsible for Beslan, we would never hear
the end of it. But since it was perpetrated against
evil oppressor children by non-state agents, it's OK.

I think some people haven't realized yet that not
every evil is the fault of a state. But then some
people are bears of very, very little brain.
