as I learned from the alumni fund folks, you don't need to graduate to be an alum. (That's so that it's not only grads who can be hit up for funds.)
the reporter was really dumb here. You'd think that our Bradley would have thought up something more interesting to say.

Did Brad graduate? I thought he just quit before his thesis examination was
over.
