How much money do American workers spend on recreation (movies, sports, dining out, pleasure travels, etc.)? What's the median sum spent by workers on recreation?

There's a line for "entertainment" - none for travel. In 2002, the mean expenditure on travel was $2,079, or 5% of annual expenditures of $40,677.
