I guess poor old George will never get the respect he deserves -- much like the equally maligned do-er-of-good-works Alphonse Capone, who dedicated his life, as I recall he said, to providing "life's little pleasures" (booze, prostitution, etc.) and funded a number of soup kitchens during the Depression. Like George, a pillar of the community.
