Islam in general is uncommon but not unknown in South Korea.

Apparently it was brought there by the Turkish Army in the 1950s. Which
would suggest that it would be very uncommon indeed in North Korea.

I am, however, not entirely sure that the Russian Army would really be able
to tell the difference between a Korean and a Malay or Indonesian with
Korean documents.

I wasn't aware that Islamic radicalism was a widespread phenomenon in North
