That is an interesting position. In some of the politics chat rooms the
conceptualisation by rightwingers is rather different.
"liberal","socialist", "communist" are all regarded as basically the same.
Popular political discourse in the US seems to have sunk to a level where
the two party system dominates together with the two kinds of political
animals analysis. There are liberals and conservatives and no third
distinction is allowed to enter the realm of popular discourse.
