I cannot see any reason why we cannot discuss this question without acrimony.  If I
vote for Nader/Kerry/Cobb does that make me an enemy?  I hope not.

Besides lowering the quality of the list, it discourages others from jumping in.  I
got a call a few days ago from a subscriber who was hesitant to graduate from the
lurker state.  You can see why.  One false step and he/she becomes a target.  Many
people do not want to subject themselves to abuse.
