These are ordinary human beings. Somebody like Marc Cooper is
extraordinary. People in Normal, Illinois do not make their livings
hammering people to their left. For that matter, I wouldn't pay attention
to the likes of Cooper, Corn, Trudeau et al if they weren't on crusades all
the time against Nader, Ramsey Clark or the demon of the week. I used to
give hundreds of dollars to the Nation in the late 1980s until it went on
this "policing the radicals" binge.
