To quote yourself, what is liberalism? Does it include people at The Nation? The Nation is pro-labor, supports a more generous welfare state, and its version of feminism includes cover articles about sex discrimination at Wal-Mart. It's also opposed every U.S. war since 1945. Is that liberal? Does that word have much meaning since the demise of socialism as a serious political force?
