Go to the Baltic States. I got my last visa in Vilnius
in 30 minutes for $110 (multi-entry one-year work
visa). Tallinn is great as well, and it's right by
you.
Yeah, that form "have you ever had experience with
explosives" is annoying. I don't think they bother
reading it. I think it's part of the mutual
harrassment games played between the US and Russian
visa departments.
That said, do you have any idea how hard it is for a
Russian to get a US visa?
