Re: if you believe polls...
>>> jdevine@xxxxxxx 05/25/04 4:36 PM >>>
from MS SLATE's news summary:
> the [Washington] Post goes Page One with a poll concluding that Bush's
support is continuing to drop, with the president now getting a
47 percent approval rating, the lowest the Post has ever recorded
for Bush. Forty percent of respondents also said they want the
U.S. to pull out of Iraq, up seven percent from last month.<
<<<<<>>>>
for public opinion poll junkies...
re. above, since fdr, only carter and bush the first began re-election
bid year above 50% in polls and lost (bush the second started this year
above 50%)...
also, carter, bush, ford were only incumbents below 50% at time of
november
election and each lost (all those above 50% at time returned to white
house)...
kerry candidacy cannot win in november, bush can lose except kerry is
so lame that bush may buck history and win with less-than-50% poll
ratings (hell, he may dip below 40% by november)...
i said months ago that dem party fix was in... michael hoover
