Based on their scale of "reasonableness," liberal ideologues think
that Republicans -- who are, after all, their partners in electoral
duopoly and all other things that really matter -- are more
"reasonable" than Ralph Nader, the Green Party, and left-wing
organizers, activists, and intellectuals.  They would rather
neutralize the left than defeat the right.

The same scale of "reasonableness" has made them hallucinate that
John Kerry (!) was more "electable" than all other Democratic Party
presidential hopefuls.

As for "open-mindedness," however, liberal ideologues have dropped
their pretension -- when it comes to Ralph Nader and the Green Party,
rather than the Republican Party.
