is it just coincidence that 91 military coup occurred during bush 1 and present one during bush 2, bush 1 opposed aristide prior to and upon his election, bush 2
did so following coup that put him in us presidency, bush 2 pushed aristide to
negotiate with terrorists, further weakening his already precarious position, and then pushed him out of haiti...

fwiw: i've had several haitian students tell me that aristide was never same after 94 return, much more concerned with keeping power, hence, armed paramilitary faction of lavalas party...   michael hoover
