Why flat? I mean, if a manager is a coordinator what is wrong with
having a hierarchy? It's another thing if a manager is also your boss
--- that is where the nastiness comes from, not the tree-like
structure, which in any case could be populated on a rotating basis.
I speak as a manager, and a boss, by the way.
