met her briefly when I worked for the New Zealand government in statistics,
pretty nice person and a staunch defender of gay and lesbian rights. The
book had considerable impact, but completely failed to come to grips with
value theory from Aristotle to Marx, hence sought to impute prices to
demonstrate value. It is not accidental that she was a Tory MP (a member of the
New Zealand National Party, the only lesbian they had at that time I
think).
