somewhere, I read a column which posed three alternatives:

1. Bush is a fool.
2. Bush just doesn't care about the world or what's good for people.
3. Bush is a cynical manipulator.

the question posed was: does any of these alternatives make you sleep
better at night? 

Of course, the Bush team combines all three.
