In addition, it's not the "intelligence" of W that's important. It's the intelligence of his team (including
Karl Rove) that's important. This intelligence is more than that of the team's individuals. A bunch of
smart people can act dumb if they don't listen to others outside the team, believe their own
propaganda, etc.
On the concept of intelligence, I think that Gardner's 8-fold classification of different types of
intelligences makes sense.
