I didn't know that Gates "stole the code." In the case of MS-DOS, he _purchased_ a version of the previously popular operating system (CP-M) that someone had upgraded to work with 16 bits. In other cases, he used shady business practices (e.g., against Netscape) and used the power of big biz to make it bigger. But did he literally steal the code?
