as the Maoists used to say, there are contradictions. Consider the fact that to Bush & Ashcroft, the 2nd amendment "right to bear arms" (i.e., to carry around an assault rifle) is second only to Jesus and the right to force pregnant women to have their babies. But are the Iraqis, who are being granted American Democracy, to be given this right? no.

It's interesting that Saddam Hussein believed in the Ashcroft interpretation of the 2nd amendment: he distributed rifles widely among his population.
