There was a character based on Cornell West on LAW & ORDER. He was in conflict with higher-ups at "Hudson University" (a doppelganger of Louis Proyect's venue) because he had produced a "rap" record (which the character denied was such) while of course initially being the suspect in the murder.

West's dissertation (published by Monthly Review Press) was on Marxism. So is it a concidence that re-arranging the word "Marxist" produces the word "Matrix" (except the "s")?
