Certainly true, so long as no one looks to the courts as the final resort to
enforce 1st amendment rights. We try them, if they refuse, we still have
ourselves, ultimately really the only thing that WE have that we have any
good reason to depend on in a system designed for the benefit of others, and
available to us only while we are compliant. They, including the courts,
cannot look for credibility, the 2000 election being just one more example
of what they're capable of.
