I have no problems with that.

But today at UC Berkeley, as I was walking by Sproul Plaza, I
came across an antiwar rally of about 30 students or so. Usual
suspects, of course: ISO and a few other small groups. "Working
class" wasn't there. A network such as "Economists Against the
War" may help some economists remember that they are working
class too and hopefully that they need to move their butts a bit
more, maybe, a bit more than others. After all, they are partly
responsible for these bloody things that are happening to us. Did
you know about Fundenberg, Holmstrom and Milgrom paper about long
versus short term contracts, for example? Using heavy mathematics
they "prove" that there is no difference between having a long
term contract and a sequence of short term contracts. That means,
don't worry, be happy, even when you have no job security.

The economists on this list seem to be doing OK, though.
