Well my dear virtual friend Jim,

"Official party line" is everywhere.

In these days back home, as my eniste Louis (By the way Louis, I
was sincere when I asked your permission about this. That
unfortunately you are now every Turk's eniste is another matter)
described possibly unknowingly, there are many back home who
react to the malfunctioning of the system and distrust the
official "party" line, which basically comes from the new
aristocrats of the corporate media (as Rifat Bali defined in his
recent book in 2002, whose title may be translated as "From Life
Style (in Arabic) to Layf Sitayil [in distorted-English to give
you the feeling]") who push the US/IMF propaganda down the
throats of the "people".

And they appear quite successful at that propaganda.

Despite this, however, we now have many back home idealizing the
US or Europe without knowing that they are not welcome in neither
of these places.

How can they be?

Just imagine all Turks, that is, the "barbarians", knocking at
the gates of Europe or the US.

We are 67 millions strong and most of us have nothing to idealize
about what we have.

And there are billions who are in a worse situation than "us".

That is, there are billions of "barbarians" at the gates, not
just Turks!

As I see it, this is the real crisis of capitalism at this time.

That is:

"Barbarians at the gates."

And we need the help of insiders my friends, so that we can get
in!

Best,
Sabri
