[PEN-L:33707] US trapped into talks with NK
It is enouraging that the Bush administration has been forced officially to
concede that it will have unofficial talks with North Korea!
This bold diplomacy by North Korea obviously takes advantage of the
confrontation with Iraq, but is also in the context of successfully
dismantling cold war attitudes in South Korea towards the North. The new SK
president is likely to continue the previous "sunshine diplomacy" even if
under another name. SKorea also wants talks. The hegemon of the world has
been forced to talk.
