[PEN-L:33510] Bankruptcies rise in Britain
7% rise in bankruptcies in Britain to the highest level for 8 years. This
is described by Dun and Bradstreet as the effect of economic difficulties
for bigger companies last year, in response to global difficulties, for
example by paying bills late (one of D&B's interests). The figure reflects
the fate of small and medium businesses. Small businesses are at the margin
of viability.
D & B claims that 15% of the time of medium businesses is taking up in
dealing with government regulations.
