Do Californians claim alien visitation sites the way Eastern states claim
houses Washington slept in?  Out of a kind of civic pride? :o)

I'm sure lots of people have met aliens at Mount Shasta (a very pretty
place), but according to today's NYT, the Raëlians claim to have made
their contact in the equally lovely Auvergne region of France:
