[PEN-L:32624] Re: Bush, moron?
In a message dated 11/28/02 12:59:01 PM Pacific Standard Time, michael@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx writes:
"He's a very angry guy, a hostile guy. He's much like Nixon. So
they're very, very careful to choreograph every move he makes.
They don't want him anywhere near protestors, because he would
lose his temper."
Miller, without question, is a man with a mission â and laughter
isn't it.
"I call him the feel bad president, because he's all about
punishment and death," he said. "It would be a grave mistake to
just play him for laughs."
Comment:
My wife who is not a Marxist by any stretch of the imagination has maintained that Bush Jr., a sociopathic "closet murderer" - he has not personally killed anyone, suffering from a number of emotional disorders in a significant way.
She is however deeply materialist in her world outlook, the administrator of a Methadone Clinic and has been in the field dealing with substance abuse for roughly 20 years. Proceeding from an intense materialist conception of personality, she maintains that everyone to varying degrees suffer from emotional disorder and uses an advanced modality to delineate a qualitative state of disorder - trend, from merely a tendency.
She as most people in America feel that the Bush family - to varying degrees, are thieves and liars, while believing that all politicians are by definition liars and thieves because they are compelled to cater to a bourgeois ideological "norm" and have access to privileges 90% of the American people are excluded from.
She also states that Bush Jr. is governed by an inner compulsion to prove something to his father and what he thinks the American peoples conceive as the relationship between father and son, while being driven to be "bigger than dad."
She believes that Bush Jr. is a very ignorant man and his ignorance consist in his inability to grasp the actual social life of our country. That is to say he is the personification of a class.
I agree with the wife and place Bush Jr. within the framework of structural changes taking place in American society which involves the destruction of productive forces and an outward thrust to reconstruct and reconstitute the world infrastructure on the basis of advanced robotics, computerized and digitalized production process. This requires reconfiguring the world infrastructure. This does not mean that Bush Jr. is reducible to the economic logic of change, but rather his sociopathic behavior contains a logic suitable to the logic of a ruling class facing decay, disintegration and transformation.
Somehow or another no ruling class or ruling sector of the ruling class, is ever able to surrender power, wealth and control in society based on the emergence of new technology and classes. In this sense America is the most revolutionary country on earth. We don't understand our history as abstraction and remain hog tied to ideological conceptions. Ever transition in the quantitative and qualitative development of the productive forces in "pure capitalist America," has been marked by massive upheaval and even Civil War.
The last phase of the social upheaval and internal war was called the Civil Rights Movement, which birthed - speaking of John Rawls, a higher conception of individual rights. We however know that the economic basis of the Civil Rights movement was the destruction of a class - sharecropper, and their transition into modern industrial proletariats along side the destruction and transformation of a sector of capital tied to agriculture. This is not a category because the sector of capital tied to agriculture was under the domination of financial-industrial capital, which had arisen as dominator as the result of the Civil War - Yankee Imperialism.
Lord knows that I do not believe in reducing human beings to an economic category but no one can escape the ideological and material conditions of production that frames distinct period of time - as increments. Nor do I reduce the individual human being to a sociological category based of the ideological content of the epoch of the bourgeoisie. However the American people intuitively know - sense, that something is not right with Jr.
See . . . Jr. is on a mission and the American ideology is leary of people on missions, who come knocking on your door in the wee hours of the morning trying to sell you something or convert you to a certain way of thinking.
Jr. is the salesman that puts his foot in the door to gain entry into your home and the reason we let him in is because he just might have something we need. The American people desire a certain stability and security about their employment and economic circumstance. This "need" creates the emotional conditions and environment for political fascism and political revolution.
Let's be clear and not fool one another. The American people or rather, a large section of the peoples of America are calling for fascism on themselves because it appears that police rule could stabilize the economic conditions of the country and wars of aggression - while bad, would stabilize the economy. This has been true for a couple of generations but is not the truth for today. Our youth have no real future and none of us can tell them the direction to work towards as was the case in the past.
Hell, I knew getting a factory job paid more than what many professors earn and would have been a teacher but it don't pay real money!
Has anyone considered the question from the point of view that Bush is a freaking Rap Star - or personify the personality and bravado of a cultural form!
"I'm this and that and will put you down, crush you and make you kowtow to my individual being."
The moment we leave the ideological arena and grasp the issue by the tail - everyone likes a little tail/tell, we win the American peoples. Personality is very important. Bush Jr. according to my wife, does not like the American people or have regular sex with his wife! Regular means 3-5 times a week as a minimum. Am I a lucky guy or what?
She say that Clinton's sex-capades meant a certain balance and I went ballistic, screaming Clinton changed welfare and giving to the poor ant threw national health care into the garbage can. She say, "Bill don't look bad." I say if they re-institute slavery in America, I'm buying Holly Berry and we going to Holly-wood/would."
Hey, she still says that I am the most insensitive man she has ever been with because I spend more time on the computer than on her!
I am writing this on Thanksgiving. She was on the computer earlier but that don't count.
Her boyfriends and marriages in the past don't count but mine do! I don't get that (?) But then again I am just a Marxist and we never have really gotten the big picture because we look at the frame the picture is in.
Aye Mike . . . "the frame the picture is in," ain't that good for a degree in something? And I don't mean the one you gona make on you computer with a good signature on it.
Jesus Christ . . .the degrees in America done fell victim to the law of value and anyone can make one on their home computer.
