[PEN-L:31468] Bali massacre
I do not support this organisation, but receive mail from the DHKC
Information Bureau. The statement is an example of a marxist and
anti-imperialist criticism of the Bali massacre. It is particularly
interesting coming from a country of with islamic faith.

Date: October 14, 2002 Statement: 275
The attack in Bali is a massacre!
The attack carried out on October 12 in Bali in Indonesia is a
massacre which cannot be justified in any way.
Innocent people were slaughtered.
Whoever acts from motives of religion sees the struggle between
imperialism and the peoples of the world as a "religious" one
between Christians and Muslims. And such a view sees all Christians or
the peoples of all imperialist countries as a "target for
attack".
This is precisely like the attitude of US imperialism, which sees all the
peoples of the earth as the enemy, wants to overthrow all governments
that won't give in to it and massacres entire peoples.
Those who act from religious motives are just like the USA in not
distinguishing between the innocent and the guilty, as shown in
Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
The struggles of the peoples against US imperialism cannot use such a
method, now or in the future.
Nobody has admitted to carrying out the attack in Bali. That it was
carried out for Islamic motives is one of the possibilities, but it could
also have been carried out by the USA or by the contra-guerrillas who
collaborate with it. The reason why they too must be considered is that
their actions are carried out in the same way and with the same
mentality.
Both do not seek to win over the people, instead they seek to intimidate
them and fill them with fear.
Marxist-Leninists and revolutionaries reject all actions which do not
distinguish between the innocent and the guilty and aim to intimidate the
people. Revolutionary actions do not aim to intimidate the people but aim
to win them over and protect them.
The peoples of the earth, all anti-imperialist and anti-American forces
must clearly distinguish themselves in their policies and actions from
the imperialists and their contra-methods.
The friends and enemies of the peoples must be clearly distinguished.
All actions which obscure this serve the imperialists.
