Marc Cooper's a journalist, who sometimes does interesting journalism, from a broadly-defined left position. His opinions are different from mine (e.g., concerning the "war on terror"), but I see no reason to discuss whether or not he's politically correct (especially as the number of politically correct individuals tends to veer toward zero when political correctness is one's main concern). He's like all those editorialists from the GUARDIAN whose opinions get posted to pen-l: we can learn from them, but that doesn't mean we should take their views in an uncritical way.
