I never cease to be amazed at how effective the US is in bullying/buying
its way in the world. I cannot imagine that the Middle Eastern states
will stand up to the US even by raising the price of oil.
Was Rove smart or lucky? The admin seemed like it was floundering on
Iraq. A few Repugs said that we need a debate and international support.
Europe sounded like it would withhold support. And then all resistance
disappeared. Depressing.
